DVD Release This Summer? NOT!
Sorry, fans. (You still there?) It seems that with global warming, the 'new world order', outragous gas prices, the Michael Jackson verdict, and because Peter Piper doesn't pick packs of pickled peppers anymore -- there will be no ODN DVD release this summer. But I have a feeling that sometime before the earth tilts on its axis 'Raymar' will return. Three cheers for Raymar: "Hip, hip, hurRaymar!" "Hip, hip, hurRaymar!" "Hip, hip, hurRaymar!"

I just have a hard time comprehending the fact that there would be any difficulty at all in getting someone to pick this film up to press DVD's. It is a freakin 80's classic. I saw it at the drive in theatre 5 or 6 times. With all the CRAP that gets released, I can't believe this is being passed up. It is so much better than MOST of the others of its era. It would be such a "fitting" film for Blue Underground's library although I am very surprised Anchor Bay hadn't put it out years ago. Who is slated to get it now? For the love of Gabriel, will someone release the damn film???
I myself, Carol Mason, of The Buffalo, New York "Sisters" Chapter, am offended that it is taking so long for a ONE DARK NIGHT DVD Release. I'm really giving my old VHS Thorn/EMI copy a workout! However, perhaps this delay will allow the filmmakers to track down Robin Evans, Leslie Speights and Elizabeth Daily for a "Sisters" commentary! Well, I've gotta book up, I've got a new initiate to haze. You named it, you claimed it!
There's word that it will be out in November finally on http://uneedamed.tripod.com/one.

As to the (rumored) November DVD release date: Maybe yes, maybe no. The 'fickle finger of fate' is in complete control of the actual release date, and the 'fickle finger of fate' ain't talking -- yet.
